Noun 

Fakonista ‎(plural Fakonistas) 

           FAY-kuh-nee-staas

1. (informal) One who pretends not knowing anything about fashion but is always dressed up wearing the "it" clothes/accessories of the moment.

You see them everywhere. The one who says "Oh..I have no clue about what's in or what's out" and then comes dressed in exactly the same thing that's 'in' at that moment. It make me do a mental "eyeroll" every time this happens. My problem is not with them being well dressed or being fashionable. It is the fact that they pretend that they are not so into fashion, like somehow any association with anything fashionable would make them seem less intellectual and more frivolous.

You know you are growing up when..

1. You are excited when you find a great coupon app.

2. You have to stop yourself from saying "When I was your age.." to a high school kid.

3. You actually call someone 'a kid' and not cringe.

4. You watch grown-up shows like Mad Men and Game of thrones and judge people who watch shows like 2 broke girls.

Social Bankruptcy Portlandia

I came across this little clip from Portlandia and it made me laugh out loud. I can absolutely relate to all the messages going off on my phone on every single app I have. It does physically hurt when that happens. The flipside to this bankruptcy is hilarious too!
