How internet killed personal style

Tuesday, October 21, 2014
Style is a very personal thing. You either have it or you don't. Well, whoever came up with that line didn't foresee a world with internet and a little thing called google. The other day, I had one of those should-I-or-shouldn't-I-chop-off-my-hair moments and I googled, of course! And there were some how-to's online that made me go REALLY?!

The Tuck-in - So, my search for hairstyle for winter led me to this gem. Apparently, this winter, it's fashionable to tuck your long hair inside a turtleneck sweater or your winter coat. Like this

How to front-tuck your T-shirt - You know how we have always tucked in a shirt or a t-shirt and not really cared about it. Well, the internet tells us how exactly to do that!

How to cuff your jeans - As someone who is 5'3, it's always not easy to find the perfect pair of jeans/pants with the right length, so, I have always rolled/cuffed my pants. Ofcourse there is a GIF to show you exactly how to do that!

Whatever happened to originality in style? Have you guys come across any such things about style?

  1. Oh Well! There is ALWAYS someone who doesn't know the basics and then there is someone else who provides them that answer :P

  2. Lol ya well remember how we spoke about how HGTV shows show the silliest thing like put a curtain and a vase and "voila" you have a designer room! It's the same shit. I also kinda blame the blog world and internet for this. If you see we have common recipe blogs, style blogs or articles. I mean sometimes it's just advertising dumb stuff for hits I guess. Also, what's very dumb to us may be relatively new to someone else
